I think I'm going to start chewing gum. I really like the look. I'll fit right in w/ the cool herd of consumers, standin' in line and chewin' their cud. Just chompin' away as if keeping their mouths closed were a crime.

The holiday continues to be busy. Enjoyed the traditional turkey dinner, family visits, and gifts abound. I saw Jen E and Glenn on Christmas Eve; and Ryan M and Mike yesterday. Tomorrow I fly out to Calgary to visit dEb for a couple days, and enjoy a nice mini-vacation. Returning on the third in the new year, to spend a couple more days w/ the fam, visit some more friends, and maybe even get crackin' on my thesis . . . then it's back to school, w/ only four more months to go!

I'm prompted to say it's been an uneventful holiday thus far, but that's only relative to the hectic amount of school work I've been faced with this past semester. I'll instead venture to say that's it's been a fifty-fifty holiday so far: I've been watching way too much tv - which I've realized SUCKS when in it's not a vehicle for procrastination - and I'm still enduring the necessary evil that is Christmas shopping. On the fun side of things, I've hung out with Liz and Marcy, while running into a couple familiar faces along the way.

As well, I had a half-decent interview with Company C, and I've begun another campaigne of on-line resume submissions, so the job hunt continues!

AND THE BATTLE OF SEVENTH SEMESTER IS OVA! . . . To paraphrase the host of The Iron Chef . . .

It took a lot of studying and a lot of mocha, but I'm finally done with my exams! Only one more semester to go! In the meantime, I'll be enjoying a super duper ultra-needed break until January :)

In a sick way, this is hilarious!

The cold weather has driven many contenders of the rat race underground, and with the holiday season upon us, the retail cats have set their cheesy traps! As the rats amble through the underground walkways, their senses are bombarded by impressive displays of junk. Ahh, Christmas!

After quite some time of inactivity on the job hunt, here's an update. I declined Company A's offer, due to location. Company B sent me their formal "don't call us, we'll call you" letter. Currently, I'm in the process of setting up another interview with Company C - though unrelated to the first interview, on which I now need to follow up.

'Tis the last day of the semester. Last week I managed to catch all my trains, so naturally this morning I missed it :( Arrive late at school and after missing half a lecture, I may as well just skip it. Just one more class later today, and then that's it! With the exception of exams, of course . . . what a fun two weeks that will be! I have five in total, two of which I anticipate will be brutal. I have one take-home as well, but that shouldn't be too bad so long as I can squeeze in an uninterrupted afternoon to take care of it. I'll be done on the fifteenth, and then the vacation begins :)

This morning on my way to school I saw a guy go by on a foot scooter, wearing a helmet! R-i-g-h-t . . . The whole advantage of a scooter over rollerblades or a bike is that you don't have to get all geared up and carry around extra shoes or clothes. What next, helmets for walking downtown?! Stupid dummies . . .
