Ottawa was great! I handed out a tonne of resumes, and talked with a lot of people in addition to picking up lots of leads. By next week I should have an idea if my efforts are to pan out successfully.

The long weekend up there was a blast! dEb and I scooted around, walked around, biked around, and equally importantly, lounged around! It was a great vacation, and I'm certainly looking forward to my next trip up there . . .

Despite school being done, I'm still plenty busy! Looking for a job is a full-time job in itself. I've been pounding the keys to no avail, and am now planning a trip to Ottawa next week to visit dEb and pound the pavement. Should you have any leads, please let me know! Additionally, here's my resume in text and Word formats if you know of anyone who might like to see it :)

Open House came and went on 2 May, and was that ever a long day! I was busy showing off my thesis and was situated in the aisle of the first room -- quite a busy spot! The president of the university even showed up, and I was one of the lucky few to present to him. After all the complaining I've done about university, I have to admit it was somewhat redeeming to have that opportunity!

5 May was the second annual RECESS boat ride: a grad party on the TO harbour. Honestly, I had a much better time last year, there seemed to be more cohesion w/in the group. Don't get me wrong, it was alright, and I had a fun time w/ the few people I hung out w/, but as w/ every other boat ride I've ever been on, it was just TOO long!
