Speaking of the weather, I took advantage of the new snow on Monday night over on the big hill (TBH) near dEb's place by testing out my new snowboard. Very fun.
Oh yeah, and I'm still painting like mad to get ready for my show in March.

Ready for War
University Galleries at Illinois State University had an open call for entries for a war-themed exhibition. The image I submitted was printed and hung in the show. You can see it in the on-line gallery here (it's the upper-left-most image). I'll post a better shot of the original in the next few days.

Everything's confirmed for my March show at Shanghai (651 Somerset St., W.)! The opening is Thursday, March 6, 8pm to 12am. There'll be a dj so it promises to be a great evening to lounge around and check out my work!
I've made a page for the show here where you can get all the details, and pics of both the work and hopefully the show will be posted in the next few weeks.
Of course, if you're in town, I hope to see you on the 6th! If you absolutely can't make it, the show runs through March, during which time you can drop by Shanghai to take a peak.

On Saturday, I wore clothes for shopping! Ran errands and whatnot all day. I hate shopping/errands on the weekend. It feels like such a waste of precious fun time!
On Sunday, I wore painting clothes, since I'm still rushing to prepare for my show in March. Details will be presented quite soon.
Today, Monday -- my fave day of all -- I'm wearing grey cords, a navy t-shirt, a dark red fuzzy shirt, dark grey sweater, and black socks; pretty good coordination considering the back-to-work daze I was in this morning.

Today I don beige pants, blue socks, a white t-shirt and a light blue long-sleeved pull-over shirt thing, the shoulders of which are a darker blue. It's slick, man.

Sunday: went tobaganning; wore lots of layers.
Monday: at work; wearing grey cords, black socks, white t-shirt, pinkish/skin-tonish shirt, dark grey sweater; yawn.
I saw 'About Schmidt,' it was funny, but depressing; echoing visions of grandeur and 'success' in one's youth which ultimately give way to a banal middle-class existance. Also saw 'In the Bedroom' which was FAR too slow for my liking.

Art update
As I mentioned before, my show at Shanghai was bumped; well, now it's back on! So I will indeed be showing in March, which means there's tonnes of work to be done! That's what I've been spending most of my time on recently, and what will continue to take up most of my time for the remainder of the month. I know you've all been wondering: what in the world has Andrew been up to other than concentrating on his wardrobe? Well, now you know, valued readership, so don't fret about the lack of stellar entries in this engrossing serial reader that we call a blog. When I finalize details for the opening night, I'll post that info here. God speed!
