Great conditions for snowboarding last night. I'm getting more comfortable w/ speed. Need to work on tighter carves, though.

Two drum machines from different eras talked happily last night thanks to MIDI. Nothing exciting to most, but it's new to me!

Skating down the canal on Saturday I rememberd why I only do this once a year: ill-fitting skates.

Went snowshoeing on Sunday; and made computer noises in the evening, which isn't quite as fun as making machine noises -- I must make computer and machines communicate.

It is Monday and snowy. Snowboarding this week should be fun.

New fotolog devoted to the mighty hamburger.

Beer, pizza, and snowboarding a fun Wednesday night do make.

I was on the bus this morning, and there was a little girl w/ her father. She was pointing and shifting her finger in the air, as if operating an imaginary abacus. I don't know how to operate an abacus, and I doubt her father knows how to operate one, but this little girl had it figured out. Then I figured out, or was at least reminded, that kids are so lucky that their minds aren't bogged down w/ the administrative details of life, they're free to imagine, explore, learn, and create. More "adults" need "freer" minds.

They're updating the elevators in my building at work. The elevator guys wear green overalls and white hardhats. They have lots of tools and lights on long cords. There were some air conditioning repair type guys the other day, ripping apart the drop ceiling and working away at some fix to some problem. I wonder if I'd enjoy that kind of work: figuring out why something doesn't work, then fixing it? Seems kinda fun from a third person perspective.

Aren't I talkative today?

Valentine's Day was great! Deb outdid herself w/ a four course meal w/ champaigne! It was hard to be upset about mix tapes gone bad w/ treatment like that . . . I have big shoes to fill next year when it's my turn to host V-Day.

You can see the Valentine's Day card I designed here.

Saw The Triplets of Belleville this weekend; not what I was expecting, but not bad. Went snowshoeing. Checked out the sixties exhibit at the National Gallery, which I enjoyed: art back then seemed more fun.

I also tried to record some dj mixes this weekend, but that backfired and I got pissed off. I used to make tonnes of mixed tapes so I'm finding it frustrating getting back up to speed. Bah, I know I just need to keep working on it . . . but bah! all the same!

Played badmitton (sp?) last night. It was fun, but I was a bit of a sore loser. I should be a better sport.

I should also be more excited about my life.
