I think pictures would make my recent activities more interesting to read about, but I guess that'll have to wait . . .

Anyhow, a nice long Easter weekend was had. Did a little bunny hopping and egg hunting. Snowboarding on a beautiful day. Live video mixing and drum machine jamming at SAW. Relaxing. Eating. Walking. And a tiny bit of snow shoveling, just to show that ice on the driveway who's boss.

Online producing

I thought I could make techno at work w/ the Flash-based, online sequencer Beaterator -- including samples/loops from the likes of Juan Atikins, Matthew Dear, and others -- but it's a tad slow . . . interesting concept, though!

Consumption vs. Production

I've been dwelling over the idea of producing versus consuming lately. So I made sure to get into the creative spirit this weeknend: I played w/ turntables, drum machines, paint, cardboard, and xacto blades. Maybe I'll have a pic or two in the next day or so.

I saw Misstress Barbara last Thursday, which was great -- did I write that here already? The following evening I saw Lederhosen Lucil, and she was on point! One of her better shows I've been witness to, for sure.
