Wishing to top last year's costumes, Deb and I summarized the traits responsible for the postive reactions we received: presence (size); familiarity (the iconic 50's robot); and personality (the solemn stare and light up eyes).

Focusing on these traits, inanimate objects such as bank machines and the like were abandoned due to their lack of personality. In search of another iconic image, the LEGO Mini-Fig came to mind; and the size requirement naturally resolved itself.

It was interesting to note that while out in public people seemed friendlier toward the blue costume -- the red costume being subject to abuse and teasing, and the blue costume being first approached by the curious.

The costumes took top prize at Stereo Nightclub's Halloween party.
